DREDGING | SEP to confirm Itajaí contract award soon

The Special Secretariat of Ports (SEP) announced on Sept. 16 that the contract to dredge the accesses to the Port of Itajai and Portonave Terminal, in Navgeantes, will be awarded until the end of November. The winner will carry out the U$35 million project that will deepen the turning basin and the inner channel of the Itajaí Port Complex from 10.50 to 14.00 meters and the outer channel from 11.30 to 14.50 meters.

Dredging works are expected to be finished by July 2011.
